About Our School

Foundation
St. Paul congregation was formally organized on January 20, 1908. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit the congregation has "let its light shine" in the community of Ann Arbor, and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with many. The growth in membership and facilities over the years testifies to God's grace, mercy and blessings.

In the fall of 1963, the congregation added a Christian elementary school to its educational agencies and St. Paul Lutheran School was dedicated on September 20, 1964. Sixty-nine children enrolled in Grades K-4 for the first year of operation. Over the years, Grades 5-8 were added, and numerous additions completed. The most recent addition, completed in 2001, added four classrooms, a new kitchen, new locker rooms, and a second, full-size gymnasium.

Mission
St. Paul Lutheran School offers a Christ-centered education that encourages and assists parents to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Students who reside in the Ann Arbor Public School District are eligible to use those school buses for transportation to school. Morning buses (arriving at school at approximately 8:00 a.m.) pick children up at designated bus stops. These bus stops are published in the Ann Arbor News prior to the first day of school.

Students enrolled in the half-day Kindergarten program and residing in the Ann Arbor School District, also have the option of using school buses at 11:30 dismissal. The kindergarten bus will take morning kindergartners to their homes after school at 11:30 a.m.

Students residing outside the Ann Arbor School District often use carpools for school transportation. The school office is available to assist you in providing a list of such families in your area.

The school day begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 3:15 p.m.

Carpool dismissal is at 3:15 p.m. All students not picked up by 3:30 p.m., are automatically dismissed to Student Care Services.
