Dear Parents,
Dr. Seuss Day was great! We studied several of his books and completed many extension activities. For The Cat in the Hat we made our painted footprint into a Cat in the Hat. The book Wacky Wednesday had many kindergarteners dressed in a crazy way. There was even a shoe on our wall! We made headbands with a pattern of fish on them for One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. For Green Eggs and Ham the brave kindergarteners among us tried green eggs (they tasted mysteriously like scrambled eggs). Then we wrote down where we would eat our green eggs and ham if we had a choice.
We are still in need a 2 Mystery Readers for this quarter of school. March 17th and March 24th are still available. Let me know if you are able to help us out.
There 2 important dates coming up on our calendar. March 14th at the 10:45 a.m. service the kindergarteners will be singing. We will meet in the church basement at 10:30 a.m. After the service we will return to the basement for pick-up. I expect that all St. Paul members will be able to attend. If you are a member of another church we would love to have you join us but do understand if you have commitments at your own church.
On Wednesday, March 17th our kindergarten class will be leading chapel. The chapel service will begin at 8:25 a.m. and will end at approximately 8:50 a.m. If you are able would love to have you join us for worship.
Next week is Lutheran Schools Week. The theme is “March Madness”. Each day will begin with devotions, class doors will decorated to reflect a university who will participate in the March Madness basketball tournament, and on Friday we will watch a movie and enjoy a special treat to wrap up the week. To further the celebration there will be a special dress for each day of the week. Here is a run down of the days. Please see the school newsletter for more details.
