Language Arts Exhibition Night – Monday November 17th
- This year’s middle school exhibition night will focus on American authors and literature.
- The schedule for the evening is as follows:
6:30 to 7pm – 6th graders will perform their dramatic
readings in the Fine Arts room
7 to 7:30pm - 6th graders will stand next to their
poster boards in the middle school
hallway and explain their projects
to passersby
- The 6th graders will each be doing a project focusing on one American author.
- This author and book can be someone and something they have read in the past, they do NOT have to pick an author and book that are entirely new to them.
- Their project will consist of:
1. A dramatic reading of an approximately 1 minute
excerpt from one book written by their chosen
author.
2. A tri-fold poster board that must include:
A. Biographical information on their author
B. Title and brief summary of the book they are
reading an excerpt from
C. Reason they picked this author and book
D. Pictures with accompanying written explanations
E. Bibliography (Works cited page)
a. Must have at least two different sources
b. If possible, include one book source
